Insight without action is just conversation.

The challenge isn't vision, resources, or technology.
It's consistent execution.

Sustainable results require human alignment, not just technological advancement. We support leaders who understand that modern business problems must be solved through people, and we turn strategic intent into measurable outcomes by aligning talent, structure, and systems with your business goals.

Melanie Steinbach

Deeply fascinated by human behavior, she built a career around serving people at work.

From her first role in recruiting, she learned to treat talent as a competitive advantage, understanding that the people were the difference between winning and losing in the market. That valuable perspective shaped everything she's done since.

After 15 years in executive search at firms including Russell Reynolds and Spencer Stuart, she spent the last 13 years as the Chief Talent Officer of McDonald's and as Chief People Officer at MasterClass, Cameo, and Milliken. Each role came at an inflection point when the company's people systems weren't built for what's next, and the pattern she observed was consistent: organizations get stuck not because they lack talent or strategy, but because their systems create confusion instead of clarity.

Leaders operate without the capabilities they need. Accountability structures are ambiguous. Feedback loops are broken or nonexistent. AI is now amplifying these gaps, making visible what was previously just inefficient.

She's seen what breaks when companies scale.

The leadership gaps that create bottlenecks, and what organizational friction looks like before it becomes catastrophic. Now she's channeling three decades of experience to support executives facing the same challenges she navigated from inside some of the world's top companies.

The work at L Advisors builds the leadership capabilities required for sustained performance while designing the organizational systems that enable consistent execution. If you're leading a business that's outgrown its infrastructure and need a trusted, experienced partner to help you reach the other side, let's talk.

Bobbie Lenga-Gutman

Bobbie Lenga is a Senior Advisor to CEOs, boards, and executive teams navigating leadership transitions, succession decisions, and organizational change in consumer and retail businesses.

Her perspective is shaped by an unusually complete arc of experience: she began her career in senior sales and merchandising leadership roles at Marshall Field’s, Carson Pirie Scott, and Charles A. Stevens before moving into executive search and advisory work at Russell Reynolds Associates, where she sat on the Executive Committee and led the Global Consumer Practice for many years. At Russell Reynolds, she was a core member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners practice, leading senior-level assignments across retail, apparel, luxury goods, consumer durables, and manufacturing.

That combination of operating experience and advisory depth is rare. Bobbie has sat in the roles she now assesses.

She understands what it takes to lead in complex, fast-moving consumer businesses, and she brings that pattern recognition directly to leadership team assessments, succession planning, and organizational design work. She works with CEOs and Boards who need an objective, experienced read on whether their leadership is built for what the business requires next, not just what it has delivered in the past.
